Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to in the media as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder is a self-described Jewish, is descended from Ryder's Jewish father. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder and her family relocated to Mendocino, California at the age of seven. Ryder was seven. In Mendocino County, they did not have electricity. Ryder was a consummate read and often spent her time studying books since there was no television. In 1983 when she was twelve, Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas was released in 1986 and Ryder, then just 15 years old, was offered the role of a leading actress. Ryder endured bullying while in highschool. She hoped acting might change the situation. Unfortunately, that did not take place. However, she continued to pursue her ambitions. She got her break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder continued to be successful in her characters in numerous films. She was nominated for two Academy Awards one for her role on The Age of Innocence (1993).
